AquaSonus Licenses its Passive-Sonar Technology to BRK Brands, Inc.
Patented passive-sonar pool alarm to be sold as First Alert®
Pool Alarm
Merrimack, NH, May 4, 2010—AquaSonus, LLC has licensed its patented
passive-sonar swimming pool alarm technology to BRK Brands, Inc. of
Aurora, Illinois. Under the Agreement, BRK Brands will have worldwide
exclusive rights to manufacture and market the AquaSonus passive-sonar
pool alarm for the residential and commercial swimming pool markets. BRK
Brands, Inc., the manufacturer of First Alert® branded home
safety products, will market its new alarm system as the First Alert Pool
Alarm.
